Say no to stress
Down the lane, one of the major reasons for depression is stress. When stress is poorly dealt with by one’s body, it leads to depression. Most of the time, it is accompanied by anxiety. Anxiety makes the whole situation worse by making the person incapable to take proper decisions. One of the ways to manage stress is by making a list of things that make you stressed. Once the list has been made, try coming up with ideas that will help deal with each of the listed stressful causes.

Sleep
Other than stress, another factor that stresses people is the disruption of their sleep cycle. The fact that the sleep cycle is disrupted when depression occurs makes the whole situation even worse. At least eight hours of sleep can help the person cope up better with depression. No matter how long one has been dealing with insomnia, they should try catching up with sleep. If the insomnia is severe, try and use lavender oil, melatonin or/and a combination of calcium and magnesium before going to bed. This has been seen to produce good sleep in most of the individuals.

Find a purpose
This might seem a very senseless thing on the list right now, but it is the most important thing that can help one deal with depression. Finding a purpose in life will help one look at their life in a completely new way. It would be like seeing the world through a lens that actually suits them, as it would look crystal clear instead of the usual blurry. No matter what has happened with someone in past or what is going on in present. If one finds what their purpose in life is, it is going to set them to another road. This is a road that has only happiness, satisfaction, and no dejection.

Eliminate the trigger of Inflammation
There are certain food and spices that can trigger and create inflammation in our body much more than other substances. The food that falls into this category are caffeine, alcohol, gluten, spices like cardamom, cloves and sugar. There are chances some people are triggered by milk and other dairy products too. It is important one figures out which type of food or substance creates the inflammation as it has to be avoided. The substance has to be avoided for a few weeks and then slowly one must get back to it.

Depression is hard to fight against, but if one is strong-willed, nothing can stop them from winning against it.
